Equity International fund

Dear, Is it advisable/necessary to hold a Equity International fund in my portfolio.  If yes pls suggest some funds. Still date the returns from International funds same like Indian Equity funds.  Pls advice

Hi, It is not a necessity but if one has already built a core mutual fund portfolio and would like to diversify a small amount of his/her corpus into international equity then he/she can consider investing in fund of funds which invest in different international markets. one more question…As i know Thematic fund are high risky, what about ICICI Pru FMCG fund which is performing well continously. Can u suggest this fund to invest for long period.
Because in my portfolio i m investong in 2value fund and 2 focussed fund. so i want to divert one fund to another new category.my portfolio below (investing by SIP-long period)
1) ABSL focussed fund DG
2) franklin india focused fund DG
3) Icici pru value discovery
4) Tata equity P/E
5) Icici pru Equity & Debt fund
6) Canara Robeco emerging equites
7) DSP small cap
8) Franklin smaller cos.
