Sir Is it permitted / prohibited for a fund manager to invest in the M F managed by him / her ? If so, how and where do I find the details about it ? Anand

Dear Anand, I believe that a FM may not be allowed to invest in MF schemes managed by him/her (but I am not 100% sure on this). And I do not have any source/links to confirm my answer as of now. We may have to look out for this in MF scheme offer documents.

Sir The reason for the above Q was, I came across an article in  a blog about two funds of a M F House. As per the blog, both funds have increasingly similar portfolio, managed by the same manager,  but the performance / return over last few years is quite different. And as per the blog, the manager has invested in both funds , but his investment in the better performing fund is manyfold (3.3 cr Vs 6.3 L) I tried to find the facts in the SID of the poorer fund but could not find it. ( may be because it is first time i have gone thru a SID) Hence the query Anand

Dear Anand, That's very interesting! Could you plz share the mentioned blog url link? If the two funds have similar portfolio, how can their performance differ drastically?
