Hi,
Need your help.
I changed 2 jobs in same fy. I received form16from ex employer also. Concern is , they have shown amount paid to me in F16a less then actually they have paid as per F16b.
Actually, i received full and final settlement after leaving the job and that amount they haven't shown in form 16a. But its there f16b.
Now, my question is i am filling my itr and not getting proper options to showcase that money i received from ex employer through bank transaction. If i show it in salary received which is true, then values are not matching with the default value pick up in section SCH TDS1.
If i show this in other income but it is not other.
Please help how to show this amount.
Regards
Naveen

Dear Naveen,
You need to show the entire income, declare the TDS details and recalculate your tax liability, if there is a tax outstanding, you need to pay that and enter these 'tax paid' details and then make sure your tax liability is nil.
You may then upload / file your Income Tax Return.
Thanks for reply. Should i show this as income from salary and thn calculates tax liabilities. But in this case , value it picks from Form16a will not matched what i shown as income from salary.,
If i do it other way round and show it as income from other sources thn it is again false as it is paid to me as a salary only but my ex employer not shown it in form 16a.
Please help.

Dear Naveen,
Your total income obviously does not match.
You need to disclose all the relevant income, recalculate your tax liability, provide the TDS details that are already there, pay outstanding taxes (if any), capture these tax paid details and then file your ITR.
You may kindly take help of a CA and file your tax return.
