Adding my name as the co-owner of the Property

Hi, We are planning to buy property in Bangalore and working on agreement now. Agreement we are planning to do it on my brother's name who is in Bangalore now. I am currently not in India, staying abroad. Wanted to know if my name can be added as co-owner of the property I am being in outside the country. Is my signature is required to add my name as co-owner at the time of registration?
