Dear Sreekanth, Among the health policies like Mediclaim, critical illness policy, personal accident policy and cancer care policy, i feel if you have mediclaim, it covers all. do we need to possess all seperately or mediclaim will cover all? what is your openion on these? is it worth to take critical illness, cancer care seperately? dont they get covered under mediclaim? if NO, is there any comprohensive plan which covers all these in a single policy? requesting your kindselves to clear this doubt. Regards and thanks, RAJ PAI

Dear Raj, We can't generalize the purpose of a Financial product and especially a Health insurance plan.  No two individuals or families may have same medical profiles. Personally I believe, it is prudent to have stand-alone Term plan with basic life cover, Personal accident insurance plan with permanent & temporary disability risk cover & one mediclaim plan.  Critical Illness can be considered if one believes that his/her family has a medical history of Critical illnesses and/or work in high risk profile occupations etc.,
