I need some help regarding a property transfer (Khata transfer) in my name. My mother residing in Kolkata has a property in Bangalore which she would like to gift to me. I am not sure of how to start the process. Another thing is I am also not residing in Bangalore at the moment and was wondering if I could get help online itself regarding the same. I have plans to come to Bangalore in the summer but for a very short time and was hoping if this process could be done within that time..please help.

Hi,
1 - Your mother can execute a Gift Deed at the concerned Sub-Registrar office. The charges would be nominal in case of Gift transactions withing family members.
