I have my name and initial in Birth Certificate, Education Certificates,Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, DL and in Banks records as (Ex: Sathish V) but only in PAN data base it has been elaborated as (Vijay Sathish) due to this issue am getting an error "Pan verfication failed. (Name against UAN does not match with the NAME in Income Tax Department)" while updating my PAN details in EPF portal in KYC section. After this, I tried to change my name for PAN in online (NSDL portal) but it's not accepting my Lastname\Surname as a initial (V) and getting an error "Please provide valid Last Name/Surname of Applicant. Last Name of Applicant should not have single character initial".
Note: I have a PAN Card with name as (Sathish V) but only in online data base showing name as (Vijay Satish)
Please help me to change my name as (Sathish V) in PAN card data base(Online).

Hi,
I believe that it is better to get your name corrected in your EPF UAN and Aadhaar as expanded initials need to be there in PAN database.

Hi Sreekanth, Thank you so much for your quick response! But I need one more suggestion.
As you suggested, I can change my name with expanded initial in EPF UAN and Aadhaar. But I have to correct the same in all other documents like in Voter ID, Driving License, All My Bank Accounts, Medical Insurance Policy, Mutual Funds Policy's, Investment Policy's etc,. This will become a very big task for me and it will become very difficult also. Hence if you have any contact with PAN Card Department employee's, Request you to please discuss about my issue and check, Is there any way to change my name with only initial in PAN database (Ex: Sathish V). I am ready to provide any document they required. Please help me in this issue!
Yes, My EPF UAN is linked with Aadhaar and it is showing as Verified in EPF UAN portal. Because both My Aadhaar and EPF UAN is in same name (Ex: Sathish V). I will be waiting for your reply!
