Hi, You may consider a large cap fund, a multicap fund and one balanced fund. In case, you can hold on to your invetments for longer period and can take risk, you may add one Mid-cap fund. Ex : Birla Frontline Equity / SBI bluechip  Franklin High growth companies fund / Birla Adv fund  HDFC Balanced Fund Franklin Prima / Mirae Emerging bluechip etc.,   You may invest lump sum amount in couple of Liquid funds and then set up STP (Systematic Transfer Plans) to Equity oriented schemes as above. For ex : HDFC Liquid fund to HDFC Balanced fund.  Kindly read : https://www.relakhs.com/best-mutual-fund-scheme-risk-ratios/ https://www.relakhs.com/mutual-fund-portfolio-overlap-comparison-tools/ https://www.relakhs.com/best-mutual-fund-schemes-2017/ https://www.relakhs.com/best-balanced-mutual-fund-schemes-review/ https://www.relakhs.com/debt-funds-types-benefits-risk-vs-return/
