I intend to place a fixed deposit in a bank in my son’s account. The amount I place will not attract TDS. I ensure that interest on the said deposit will not cross Rs. 10000 per year. He attained major recently and he doesn’t have PAN card. Can I place FD I in his account and if yes upto what amount. Please clarify
Regards
Shanthi

My Query Regarding FD Is As Under
My Son has Savings Account In A Bank. Account Was recently opened With AADHAAR, Passport And His College Identity Card as proof. Upon attaining major recently this Is the first account opened in his name . He doesn’t have PAN no. My query is in the absence of PAN in his name, Can a fixed Deposit be placed in his Account? Further in The Absence Of PAN is there any Limitation in The Cash transactions to be done in his Account Or restriction of Fund Transfer To His Account from my (mother) account in a financial Year.

Dear Sir
Today my bank suggested me of a New Fund Offer from Reliance Mutual Fund RELIANCE CAPITAL BUILDER FUND IV SERIES B. Its a close ended equity Fund in Multi cap.
As per your suggestion I have made SIP investments to the tune of Rs. 10000 per month. I have no idea about the above Reliance fund. I am a moderate risk taker. There is no specific goal for this but for getting decent returns. Can you please suggest me if I can do any investment in this. Minimum amount as per scheme is Rs. 5000. Please advise.

Shanthi
