Hi Sree, NRI living in US. I have a niece in India-1 yr old. Want to deposit 1 lakh INR for educ needs in future. What's the best investment option for me- LIC, PostOffice FD's,& mutualfunds. The timing will be atleast 15 yrs. Please advice. Thanks for your time, Regards, Sandeep

Dear Sandeep, Considering the investment objective & time-frame, Equity oriented mutual funds can be a better investment avenue. You may consider 2 to 3 funds, one each from say Diversified, Mid-cap & Balanced fund. If you would like to be little conservative then you may have higher allocation to diversified & balanced funds.
