The EPFO has been implementing quite a few digital initiatives over the last 1 year or so. As per the EPFO, all the EPF members whose KYC details have been ‘digitally verified‘ can avail the online services (like online EPF transfer / withdrawal).
If you are an EPF subscriber, to submit online EPF claims, you should have seeded your PAN, Aadhaar and Bank account details to your EPF UAN account. Besides linking, you also need to verify Aadhaar and PAN online in EPFO’s member portal.
I have been receiving a lot of queries on PAN verification for the last few weeks. You might have added PAN to your UAN account, might have got it approved by your employer (can cross-check in KYC section), but still you might be receiving PAN – NOT VERIFIED error message, when you try submitting an online claim.
How to resolve this issue? What is the online procedure to digitally verify PAN that is linked to your EPF UAN account?
How to verify PAN linked to EPF UAN Account online?
Below is the online procedure to verify PAN in EPFO UAN member portal;
- Kindly visit EPFO’s Unified Member Portal and login with your credentials.
- Check if there is any ‘PAN – Unverified’ status in the home-page of UAN member-interface, under Member profile.
- You can also cross-check the status of online PAN verification status under ‘Manage‘ menu tab -> KYC -> Digitally Approved KYC section. (If you have linked your Aadhaar number and successfully verified it, the online verification status against Aadhaar would be ‘verified by UIDAI.)
- So, now you need to get your PAN verified. Kindly go back to UAN member-interface home page -> Member profile section. Click on ‘Verify‘ button against PAN number.
- The EPFO will fetch your PAN details (PAN number/ Name) from the Income Tax department and compares them with details available in UAN account. If the data matches, your PAN online verification status turns to ‘Verified by ITD‘ in home-page and also under KYC section.
- In case, your name or PAN number provided by you does not match, you will receive the below message. You can find ‘Failed‘ status under the Member Profile.
- To resolve the data mis-match issue, you need to get your name against EPF UAN / PAN corrected. (Related article : ‘How to get Name against UAN corrected online?‘)

PAN number KYC was sucessfuly updated and approved by employer. UAN portal home screen i can see PAN number updated but when i try to claim advance PF “ONLINE CLAIM (FORM 31,19,10C & 10D)” the PAN number is showing PAN NOT VERIFIED. Please advise what action should i take in this case.

Unfortunately with the EPFO, the name format has to exactly match across PAN,Aadhaar and EPF UAN.
EPFO systems should ideally consider these minor name format issues and verify..
You may have to get your name updated in PAN.

I see many people are affected with the initial in the Aadhaar and UAN but it is expanded in PAN database (Name printed on card may can have initial). It results in PAN verification failure.

Many of us would not like to change the name in Aadhaar as we have already used it for various other purposes.
So without changing the name, do we have a alternate solution to this?
1. If service more than 5 years and PAN not seeded, do you think TDS will be deducted at 34%?
2. If they deduct TDS in above case, we cannot claim back in IT return also I think. I am not sure against what they will charge the TDS as our PAN is not seeded and how they will charge TDS against it?
3. If service less than 5 years and PAN not seeded, I think we can still apply for claim online but need to submit physical copy of PAN to the respective EPF office. Kindly clarify.
I see people update here only with the questions but not coming back to comment what they really went through after the claim.

As of now, I believe that there is no solution other than correcting the name in Aadhaar. Sounds ridiculous but no other choice. EPFO should come up with a simpler resolution for this issue!
1 – Ideally EPFO should not.
2 – That is why I am noticing that EPFO is rejecting claims without PAN being seeded in portal.

Thanks Sreekanth. I have raised several grievances. All of them says, If service more than 5 years, PAN update not mandatory. If less than 5 years, can still apply online and send physical copy of PAN to PF Office.
I think with this work around, we can put this unresolved mystery to rest.
Also offline claim would be an alternative with copies of PAN and Claim form.(UAN should be seeded with Aadhaar)

Yes, one can send the PAN copy by quoting UAN and claim ref number on it to the concerned EPF regional office (or) if possible, in person immediately after submitting the claim request.

Kindly note that Initials are not allowed in PAN database. The initial letter that you are seeing in PAN is just a Display name. If you check your details in PAN database (by visiting IT e-filing portal) your sir name would been provided in expanded format only.

In your case, the name format of Aadhaar & EPF UAN has to match with that of PAN.
If Aadhaar has already been updated then you need to submit a joint declaration form to the EPFO for name updation through your employer.
If i submit the joint declaration form for name updation as per the PAN Details, then i have to change the name corrections for all of other account i.e bank, salary account, gas connection etc ??????

Firstly, as your service period is less than 5 years, your pf claim amount is a taxable income whether TDS gets deducted or not.
You may have to get your name changed in EPF UAN & Aadhaar.

While we try to claim PF amount at initial stage Aadhar verified by UIDAI and the Aadhar linked with the UAN account. When we try to claim the amount at the final stage it sent the OTP for claim but showing the following reason “OTP verified but the data available against the UAN in system is not matching with the data available with UIDAI (AADHAAR)”. Previously my name in PF account was mismatching with name in PAN and adhaar due to first name and last name interchange issue. I got it updated correctly on PF portal however while trying to verify PAN, I am getting error as “Temporary problem at PAN server. Please try after some time.” from past 6-7 days.

Availability of two separate withdrawal claims forms (Form 19 & 10c) have been designed that way by default. To withdraw EPF and EPS, you can submit the forms individually.

If your PAN has not verified, you may get this ‘TDS’ message.
If you have consolidated (if any) all your EPF accounts and if your total service period is more than 5 years then your EPF claim amount is tax-free.
In case, EPFO deducts TDS, you can claim it when you file your income tax return.

My PAN and Bank details are approved by when am trying to do KYC for my Aadhar too, getting error like data is mismatched with registered data. But My PAN, Bank and Aadhar all details are same. But I am not able to verify my Aadhar I don’t know why.

You may have to get your name in EPF UAN updated as in PAN database. Kindly check your name format in your Aadhaar as well.

In your case ideally EPFO should not deduct TDS as your work experience is more than 5 years.
Even if they deduct TDS (in some cases they did), the PF claim amount is a tax exempt one in your case, you can claim TDS when filing your ITR.

Company2 : 13 March 2015 to 26 June 2018
Now I want to withdraw my PF (form 10 online), but I have below issue.
Date of joining is mentioned as 13 March 2015 in claim submission page, which also says service is less than 5 years so 34% TDS ll be deducted since amount is more than 50K.
Is it not be the joining of company1?

If you have transferred the funds successfully the total service period will be considered, as the previous service period gets carried forward.
However, I have noticed that EPFO system is not considering the previous service details while accepting the claim requests (in some cases).

Nope, the problem is not solved and will not be.
It is the known error without any solution.
only thing I can guess is , if you serve in the last company for more than 5 years, you can withdraw PF without PAN verification. (current system error supports this solution)
Else you can withdraw offline by sending hardcopy of forms.

Then, I applied through physical application thoruough the company which I had worked before and now 3 months are over. The amount not yet credited and the Company have not given any update regarding this even I am sending regular emails.
Please suggest what should I do to get an update when I receive the amount.

I tracked my claim status, it shows claim rejection of my first attempt to withdraw through online and nothing shows with regard to my new (3 months old) physical withdrawal request.
Company not giving any update on this after I contacted a lot through mail and telephone. Now I got a message from PF office on 14.08.2018 which reads this way “A auto transfer claim for transferring your EPF accumulations from ( Previous Company Name mentioned) to ( Current Company Name mentined) has been considered against UAN ( UAN No: they mentioned). If this transfer does not belong to you, it can be stopped claim with in 20 days of date of linking (14-Aug- 2018) by login to ( UAN portal url mentioned) or contact your employer/Concerned EPFO field office.

Looks like the EPFO has auto consolidating your multiple EPF accounts.
The funds from your previous EPF ac have been transferred to the current/latest one.
If you are unemployed and/or now not contributing to EPF scheme for more than 60 days, you can withdraw consolidated balance.

I had been unemployed for the last 6 months before I joined in the current company in July. I applied for PF and pension withdrawal on 15th May and 3 months are over. As you mentioned my old PF is going to be transferred to the current company so as they sent the message to inform me that it can be stopped before 20 days of automatic transfer and Now I did login into UAN portal and stopped.
Still, the transfer is possible if I verified the same with OTP message through registered mobile number.
My question is what happens to my withdrawal request after I did these procedures because the company not yet update me about my withdrawal request.
Is there any other possibilities to withdraw the same because I desperately need this withdrawal and dont want to continue to transfer old PF accumulated amount to New company as I did not given any signed document to transfer the same to my new company.( I knew that this automatic transfer is done asper the Adhaar card updation with UAN).

The EPFO may deduct TDS if PAN has not been verified.
However, even if they deduct TDS, PF withdrawals after 5 year service period is a non-taxable income.

Name on PAN card is correct, but, name on efiling portal is incorrect as letter ‘h’ is missing on my last name as updated in efiling portal.
PAN verification has failed in EPFO due to this name mismatch.
Will this cause any problem in online PF withdrawal after more tha 5 years of continuous service?

Earlier My Name in PAN card is SANTHOSH KUMAR GUJJA but my aadhar card is G SANTHOSH KUMAR( the same name in UAN). So, I have corrected my name in PAN as G SANTHOSH KUMAR. But as i observe The ITD would have the full name as GUJJA SANTHOSH KUMAR. In this case while adding KYC for PAN I got the mismatch between UAN and PAN error. Could you please suggest me on this.

Ideally the EPFO has to start accepting these kind of minor but valid mis-matches (discrepancies in name format).
You may have to either correct the names in UAN & Aadhaar or have to go for offline withdrawals.

My PAN Name is : NITIN BHAGAVAN CHUGANI, UAN and AADHAR have CHUGANI NITIN BHAGAVAN.
Do I need to change my Name in PAN ? First Name is Nitin, Middle Name is BHAGAVAN and surname is CHUGANI.
So AADHAR and UAN have actually incorrect format but since these 2 are linked, I think changing in PAN would be easiest.
Also, even though my PAN was Unverified, I was able to raise a Online Claim for my PF withdraw and in that form too the PAN is stated as PAN NOT VERIFIED. So, will the TDS be charged. I have served for 8.5 years and PF withdrawal is for 8.5Lakhs.
If I change my PAN now, will i be able to save the TDS or any other way to save my tax ?

Ideally, the EPFO systems should accept these kind of minor discrepancies, unfortunately they do no.
Hence, you may have to get your name corrected in PAN.
Kindly note that EPF balance withdrawal after 5 year service period is a tax-free income.
So, even if EPFO deducts TDS, you can claim it in your ITR.

I had my friend visit the KR Puram(Bangalore) EPFO office & enquire about the PAN mismatch. Officers there have strictly refused to accept offline forms. Incase the withdrawal amount is less than 2.5 lakhs, we have been asked to file the claim online and go to the EPFO office with the online claim reference number , PAN card copy , FORM 15G. Other option is to correct the PAN to ensure it matches with UAN. UAN online claim facility is down for 3 days for maintenance and we don’t know when it will be working. There has been lot of changes going on with the EPFO process in recent times. Hopefully there will be some easier solution to this PAN mismatch.

As per the previous notification EPF withdrawals of above Rs 10 lakh are accepted in online mode only.
However, as per the latest guidelines, EPFO has reversed their decision and they are now again accepting offline claims as well.

As per the revised guidelines, for issuing PAN cards, the applicant’s Last Name/ Surname is a mandatory field.
But one can get PAN issued with single name by writing name in surname and leaving first & middle names blank in pan application.
So, mostly your name in PAN is surname whereas in Aadhaar/UAN your given name is updated. Kindly re-check.

Kindly note that any full PF withdrawals before the completion of 5 year service period is a taxable income (whether TDS is deducted or not).
In case EPF deducts higher TDS (than your tax slab rate) or deducts TDS even if you have more than 5 years of service then you can claim such TDS by filing income tax return.

Kindly note that it can be just a display name in PAN, because short form or initials are not allowed in PAN database. The initial ‘R’ would have been udpated as in full form in PAN. Kindly check it in IT e-Filing portal.

I am having issue with mismatch in name. My name is Srivithya N in PAN but in income tax website it shows as Narayanan Srivithya. My name in UAN is Srivithya Narayanan. In My Aadhar Card earlier it was Srivithya Narayanan to be same as all other record i changed to Srivithya N. But my aadhar as been verified already in UAN portal before i change my name. Srivithya N is just a display name as in PAN card. Kindly note that short initial are not allowed in PAN database hence the full form of your sirname.
Ideally follow as in PAN name that’s the in full format. Kindly make sure your details match as in PAN with Aadhaar and EPF UAN.
In case, you have to get your name corrected in UAN, that can be done through offline mode only, as your Aadhaar has already been linked. You need to submit joint-declaration form along with your employer to the EPFO. Kindly contact your employer for this request.

For offline claims, you can either send CCF – Aadhaar form to EPFO directly without your employer’s signature (or) CCF-NonAadhaar form to your employer.
You need to enclose, copy of Aadhaar card, PAN card, blank and cancelled cheque leaf (of the bank account that is linked to your UAN and your name should be imprinted on it) and Form 15G (if required).

If yes, suggest you to add PAN data in UAN kyc again and get them approved by your employer again and then try digitally verifying them.

If you are submitting EPF claim directly at EPFO, online PAN verification is not mandatory.

I claimed PF online but it is stuck on under process when I click on track however when I go to Know your claim stated it says Rejected – PAN DETAILS/NO NOT MENTIONED IN ONLINE CLAIM/OK.

My adhaar in KYC is verified. Also linked my adhaar with pan card.
My name in KYC section is digitally approved by my employer for PAN details, but unverified due to wrong name. My Pan number is correct only.
So i have corrected my name in income tax department and trying to add the correct pan card details in the KYC, but still it is giving me the same old error (Pan verification failed. Name against UAN does not with income tax department)
I have checked with both UAN department and Income tax dep both have same name.
Since my Pan is not verified in KYC, i know iam not eligible to withdraw online claim submission
Anyways if iam ok with 34% tax deduction rule(since my service is less than 5 years and pan details are not verified in KYC , My question is:
can i withdraw money by submitting hard copies with UAN helpdesk at my office with unverified PAN Details in KYC. Though Iam ready to submit my pan card hard copy along with my withdrawal papers. Or is it mandatory to get verified Pan details in KYC for any form of Claim submission.

I have observed that even if PAN is not verified, have seen some PF members claiming the withdrawals online mode but yes with TDS..
So, you may try it through online mode first if you are ok with TDS.
Kindly note that even if TDS is not applicable, the withdrawal amount is a taxable income (as service period is less than 5 years).
If your tax slab rate is say 20% for the FY and TDS @ 30% deducted then you can claim the Refund (if any) by filing your ITR.

PAN database does not allow shorter form of Initials.
So, when you have submitted PAN application you would have provided the full form only. However, one can opt for just initials as DISPLAY NAME in PAN Card.
So, kindly check the name format in PAN database and accordingly get the name corrected in Aadhaar/EPF UAN.

Your name ‘Suresh D’ in PAN is just the display name. Kindly note that short form of initials is not accepted in PAN hence the IT database has your full name which is correct and should be matched with.

I don’t get the Verify button on Member’s profile as you have shown. Every time I try to do PAN authentication I get the error “Error while PAN authentication. Could not send Message.” This is happening even with name in UAN, PAN and Aadhaar being same. Had it been different, I would fill the Joint Declaration form. But it’s all across. Does the authentication work on some other parameters besides name?

Need your help. My PAN details are showing “verification failed” on UAN website. The reason for the same is that my name in PAN records is in expanded form of my abbreviation. My name in UAN, Education docs, employment history, bank accounts, Aadhar is M Swaminathan. As PAN does not take initials my name in PAN records is Mahalingam Swaminathan.
I cannot change my details in other documents as I want M Swaminathan to continue. Please advise on how to get the PAN linked with UAN. Can this process be done offline as well

Kindly note that Initials are not allowed in PAN database. The initial letter that you are seeing in PAN is just a Display name. If you check your details in PAN database (by visiting IT e-filing portal) your sir name would been provided in expanded format only.
PAN related error – has been reported by most of the other blog readers who are accessing epfo website, so this can be a tech issue.

My UAN needed gender correction. Though it showed MS. XXXXXX , under the gender section it showed male. I made the changes(when I made the correction, it asked for my AADHAR number too) saved it to be verified by the employer. At the same time I also added the details in KYC (PAN, AADHAR, Bank) to be approved by employer. Now my employer has verified my gender correction request. He says as he is not able to verify the AADHAR details under KYC, it is showing an error message that name,DOB or gender not matching. Understandable since the details originally(gender) were wrong and also he just approved it for correction. At this point of time do you think he can’t approve my PAN details and bank details? Will AADHAR being under correction stop him from approving my KYC- PAN and Bank details.

You may try getting a new SIM with the same mobile number from your telecom service provider.
You can try submitting PAN and aadhaar details under KYC section of your UAN interface.
Get them approved by your employer and also digitally verify them online.

Ideally, the employer approves the KYC PAN details and then you need to verify it.

If the PAN has been verified, ideally your EPF claim also should have been settled even if it is more than Rs 50,000.
You may try applying it offline and submit the Form 15G (if required).

1 – You can request your ex-employer to approve PAN details in KYC and you may then re-verify it. If this is not possible then you may have to for offline claim only. You can enclose pan card copy, cancelled cheque leaf of bank ac that is linked to your UAN, Form 15G (if required) and Aadhar card copy along with the claim form.

In my Aadhar and bank account my name is SOBHA NAIR
In Pan card it is SOBHA DEVI. For pan card correction, I have submitted a form attested by gazetted officer and submitted to a local agent who do the correction by collecting Rs.260/- it is under process.
Now, as my date of Birth and name in the UAN is wrong and in the Aadhar, Pan and bank account is the same. If UAN should match with the Aadhar and PAN for offline withdrawal also then DOB change is must which is not an easy task because I don’t have Education certificate and passport etc.
What you said is exactly correct, I have to challenge before the Magistrate for getting a certificate.
I contacted my employer and asked to get my claim offline but they are telling offline also these are required.

Yes before submitting Aadhar, I had bank and pancard as my KYC. Now Aadhar is verified but in the pancard column I see its unverified but it is approved by my previous employer.

Yes, as of now there is no option to re-verify the ‘unverified PAN’ digitally.
Even I am assuming that one needs to re-submit the PAN under KYC (after name correction against UAN/PAN) and then let the establishment (employer) approve it.
After that, an employee can try re-verifying it! (assuming that VERIFY option will be made available).

The EPFO checks the personal details against UAN with the details in PAN database of the Income tax dept.
Hence, online verification of the PAN is important and mandatory for EPF members (especially for online claims).

Yes it worked by re-adding the PAN no. under KYC. Its verified by “ITD” . Guess its been validated by the employer first online and then ITD.
Yes Anita, its two row under KYC section, the previous one reflecting as unverified and the latest verified. However in the Home page “Member profile” appearing as PAN verified.

Sreekanth, I believe the name on the PAN card has to be exactly the same as on the UAN portal for it to be digitally verified on the portal?
I just noticed the name on my PAN card is just Anita, and on the portal it’s with my initials. Do you think that would cause an issue with digital verification even when I re-add the PAN number? Thanks
Hi Sreekanth, there seems to be an instant verification against the Income Tax/PAN database & PF portal. I tried re-adding my PAN under KYC on the PF portal, and it did not accept it stating a name mismatch between IT dept and UAN.
In this case, I would have to go for an offline claim submission… My question now is, would the fact that my name on the PAN card is different create any issues even for an offline claim request…? Thank you

Yes, the name against UAN Vs PAN has to match.
You can submit offline claim with a copy of your PAN card, that should be fine!
Offline claims will generally be settled in 30 days.
Another option is to get your name corrected in UAN online and then submit an online claim request.

Is n’t it that ‘Last Name/ Surname’ is a mandatory field in PAN. Surprised to know that you do not have sirname in PAN card??
I believe, on the application for PAN card, you have to mention the full name (expanding the initials). But, can choose to have a shortened version of the name as the “display” name on the PAN card itself. (That’s what I remember from applying for PAN years back).
And thank you for the earlier update on PAN card name & UAN portal name. Unfortunately, if I change the name on UAN portal, then there will be a name mismatch with Aadhar card. And I already have Aadhar digitally verified on the UAN portal. As I understand, it is more important for name on UAN portal to match with Aadhar card’s name (than with name on PAN card)…. So, will go for offline claim with a copy of PAN card, as you suggested. Thanks!

Lemme share my experience here.
My KYC (Aadhar, PAN Bank A/C) was verified 3 years ago by my previous employer. A couple of weeks ago, UAN shockingly displayed that my PAN failed. PAN Unverified!!
Then i realised that the name on my PAN card ended with my initials while UAN and Aadhar just had my name spelt as ‘Arun Kumar’.
When i tried uploading my PAN i encountered an error message on UAN that stated (Name against UAN does not match with the NAME in Income Tax Department).
Worried about the 34% TDS deduction while withdrawing PF if PAN not verified, I thought of correcting the name on my PAN online. It took around 12 days to get a copy of my corrected PAN from NSDL to my residential address.
After which, I was able to upload /re-submit my PAN on UAN for my employer’s to digitally verify the same. Right now, its all fixed.

I am sailing in the same boat as you. After a long struggle I made my UAN & Aadhar names match. But now facing an error that UAN name is not matching with PAN. Even though it looks the same as you have mentioned the surname is expanded in PAN database. When you meant offline submission, do you mean submitting forms physically through your ex-employer? My ex-employer has sent me 2 forms Composite Claim Forms(aadhar) and Composite Claim Forms(non-aadhar) & has asked me to fill both and send along with self-attested copies of PAN,AADHAR & UAN back to them.
Were you able to successfully withdraw offline? Did you have 34% deduction due to PAN not being verified in UAN?

Hi Radhika, Sorry I seem to have missed your comment earlier. If you are still looking for clarifications:
By offline, I meant submitting the forms yourself at the respective PF office. If Aadhar is verified on the UAN portal, you can use the Composite claim-Aadhar form which does not need the employer’s signature, provided, your bank account details are also added & approved by the employer on the UAN portal.
I spoke to someone at the PF office and was suggested to apply online (even with PAN not verified), and to submit a copy of the PAN and Form 15G manually/in person to the PF office with the online claim acknowledgement. But when I went to submit these forms after putting in an online claim, the PF office said the online claim was rejected although it did not show as rejected on my end on the UAN portal.
Anyway, I then submitted an offline claim at the PF office with these documents:
Composite claim-Aadhar form (I was closing my PF account, so I gave just one copy & selected both PF & pension withdrawal option on the same form – at the top; instructions from many websites suggest giving 2 copies – one for PF, and one for pension withdrawal);
Self-attested PAN copy;
Form 15G (2 copies);
A cancelled cheque leaf (this should show your bank account details – the one you updated on UAN portal);
Screenshots from UAN portal where it showed PAN number as added but not verified (the screen when you select the online claim option from the dropdown menu on the UAN portal).
The online claim I had originally submitted was showing as in-process on my end for almost a week. The status changed to rejected only around the time the claim was settled. I am not sure if mine was considered as an offline claim or online claim, but I received the money with no tax deductions in 1 week.

Thanks a lot Anita. thats really helpful. I had my ex-employer submit all of the above documents except for screenshot of PAN mismatch. Unfortunately the PF office have stopped accepting manual withdrawal forms and they accept only online claims. :-(. Am really in a fix as what to do as am living outside india. My employer said he is going to try once again next week. But no idea what to do if they dont accept it.

As per the latest update, they have taken a decision to process offline claims as well.

The same was my understanding too. But unfortunately K.R.PURAM(bangalore) EPFO is not accepting offline claims. I have tried submitting offline forms twice and both times they didn’t accept & was told they don’t accept offline claims any longer. I raised a grievance for my PAN mismatch & was advised in writing by the EPFO that either I should correct my name to ensure it matches or file online claim and submit form 15g& PAN immediately at EPFO office. So I did the same & today my online claims have been rejected. No reason has been mentioned. Hence I have raised a grievance for the same. Waiting for their response.

I want to update about my PF withdrawal experience without PAN linking. I had raised a grievance with EPFO and was advised to either correct PAN name to match with UAN or raise online claim and submit PAN copy and FORM15G immediately at PF office. My ex-employer agreed to submit the documents at PF office. I shared my online claim tracking numbers with him which he noted on top of the PAN copy. But my online claim got rejected the first time because my ex-employer went a day after the online claim was submitted. I was told the reject reason as PAN & 15g weren’t available. So the second time , even though he went to PF office on the same day as my online claim request, they rejected it without giving a proper reason. But my ex-employer suspected that they were expecting the online claim PDF acknowledgment to be submitted as well. I raised a grievance again but didn’t get any response.After waiting for couple of weeks I submitted the online claim again & my ex-employer visited the PF office on same day with PDF acknowledgement along with form 15g & PAN. Finally , it was approved. I got my settlement amount within 10 days(both PF & pension). Key take aways from my experience:
1. If PAN & UAN name doesn’t match and can’t be corrected raise a grievance . If the grievance response suggest to raise online claim and submit PAN & FORM 15G at PF office, print the response.
2. Raise the online claim & save the PDF acknowledgement.
3.Visit your PF office on the same day as you raised your online claim with your 1.Grievance response2.PAN CARD COPY 3.FILLED FORM 15G 4. PDF acknowledgment of online claim & submit it.
4. The PDF ack needs to be saved immediately as soon as you submit the claim. Its not available elsewhere in the UAN website once you close the claim page.
5. If for some reason the online claim gets rejected , go to https://goo.gl/kFJRpC and click ‘Know your claim status’ to see the reason. I am assuming that the reject reason will get updated here immediately.

So, either the EPF member’s Employer should be very supportive to do the leg-work or the EPF member’s place of residence is same as the concerned EPF regional office to submit the docs on the very same day!
