Sir, I want to start investing in GILT FUND,I want to know whether I should invest in  it using SIP or lump sum mode, which one would yield more productive result. Secondly, is there any column you would like to share for STP in detail as, I am a regular visitor of your website and find your columns really handy.

Hi, Would like to know your views - Why you want to invest in Gilt Fund? May I know your investment time-frame?  As of now, I have not yet published any article on STP. Will try to do it at the earliest. Thanks for the post idea :) STP refers to Systematic Transfer Plan where in an investor invests a lump sum amount in one scheme and regularly transfers (i.e. switches) a pre-defined amount into another scheme of same Fund house.
Ideally, the STPs can be set up from Debt funds to Equity funds. Ex : HDFC Liquid fund to HDFC Balanced fund. Kindly note that  STP transactions are also treated as normal redemptions and taxes are applicable (if any).   Kindly read: http://www.relakhs.com/best-debt-mutual-funds-india-top-debt-funds/ http://www.relakhs.com/mutual-funds-taxation-rules-capital-gains-tax-rates-on-mfs-fy-201516/
